Bienal do Livro Rio takes place September 3 – 12, 2027 — Riocentro, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Rio de Janeiro hosts Bienal do Livro Rio, a book fair and literary festival, every two years, as its name says. It is organised by GL events Exhibitions, which calls it the largest festival of literature, culture and entertainment in Brazil. Publishers, authors and a wide public of all ages take part. The programme listed on the official site includes talks, meetings with Brazilian and international authors, autograph sessions and book launches. It also has a literary café, music and performances. The most recent edition took place at the Riocentro and was staged as a Book Park, with a literary Ferris wheel, an escape room inspired by famous books and a Labyrinth of Stories.
