About the fair
AAD is Africa's only event combining an aerospace and defence trade exhibition with a public air show. It is organised by Armscor and the South African Department of Defence and held biennially at Waterkloof Air Force Base. The first three days are trade-only for business visitors and delegations, with the final two days open to the public. Exhibits span aerospace, land systems, naval equipment, unmanned aerial vehicles and security technologies. Around 500 exhibitors and over 30,000 visitors are expected.
